A “Ghost” of a chance...

There’s always a reason for everything and nothing really happens for no reason.

It’s some pre-ordained reality in what’s often a makeshift world and which comes into where you are for some reason and for you to understand why.

It’s like, somehow, hearing the Righteous Brothers singing “Unchained Melody”, following the footsteps to where the song is playing and discovering that “Ghost” is showing on a television channel. And there’s a reason for this that goes way beyond programme scheduling.

I mentioned this to someone and she just didn’t get it. She was too young to have seen the movie and so didn’t understand where I was coming from. It wasn’t her fault. It was just two people operating on two very different wavelengths.

The more you travel, the less you know kinda stuff that flows within and without you.

There are always dots to join, but we live in such birdie num num times that we’re either losing, or have lost the importance of romance in one’s life.

Suddenly, you’re reminded of when she said, “Romance me”, and you didn’t, because you hadn’t learned the meaning behind her words. Maybe she didn’t know what she meant either, but the fact of the matter is that she had said it.

If, after all this time, it’s still processing or living inside of you, there’s a reason for it.

It’s a memory that has shaped you and is revisiting you to perhaps remind you who and what’s important and all that everything else that’s superfluous and is taking up space and not allowing in things that matter.

“Romance me”. It sounds simple enough, but lines like this visit or revisit you for a reason, and just maybe to put you back on track for the journey to continue down the correct path.

Guess it’s not unlike Lennon singing, “Turn off your mind, relax and float downstream”.

He might have been quoting from The Tibetan Book Of The Dead, but, very very often, these fleeting unchained melodies are leading somewhere and only understood by you, because these are all parts of a story that belongs only to you.

It’s up to you to try and join the dots and solve the mystery.

It’s very probably the most important and valuable story you will read because it’s honest and also makes everything else meaningless.

It’s a wake up call where you might be here, but you’re actually there, and how there’s someone waiting for you who’s also heard that unchained melody and is maybe going through the exact same emotions as you.

It’s something beautiful and powerful and honest and there’s an exclusivity about it- but also an exclusivity that’s exhilarating and inspiring and something that needs to be shared.

It’s part of the soundtrack to the movie of your life.

Only you know why you have to keep going back and continuing to write the script so that it keeps life interesting... and honest.
