DJANGO UNCHAINED

We’re all different people and thanks to whoever for that. When deciding to start what one calls a column, it’s really a personal diary of mental notes to myself in between writing as honestly as I can a book about my life and what I have learned along the way, those I have met and the mistakes I have made, especially to the only woman I will ever love, and the different types of politics I have encountered.

I met Christopher Hitchens a few times, I have watched him give speeches and what always impressed me was that he was incredibly passionate and knowledgeable about everything he wrote and talked about- including the Clintons. He was fearless even when facing death

I never ever liked his wife Hillary, but having met Senor Bill a couple of times in Hong Kong, he seemed alright.

Obama, I have always thought to be about showbiz and a wolf in a black sheep’s clothing. Rahm Emmanuel, I like very much and think of him as having all the secrets of the political world.

The interview below is interesting in many ways, especially how Charlie Rose tries to play Gotcha, but Christopher Hitchens is polite and sticks to his guns and what moral compass was guiding him.

The world lost a great man when Christopher Hitchens was taken away from us.

How to make a very very old track by Talking Heads a hit all over again really has to do with creative A&R, A&R being something many in music and music marketing don’t make the time to understand.

It’s all there in the films of Hitchcock, David Lynch, Scorsese, Tarantino…

Sometimes, there’s a need to scare yourself in order to understand certain things we refuse to bring to the surface.

Matthew Rhys character dancing to “Psycho Killer” and Claire Danes’ character not understanding what is going on because she’s so stoned and thinks it’s funny is scarily entertaining.
