Nicky Andersen and Now uniting those moves…

Every day, I seem to learn something new about the Simon Fuller managed pop group called Now United, and all this newness makes me like the overall global package more and more. 

Anyone who really knows me would understand that having been in advertising, journalism, and running two international music companies in the region and created the Happy Wednesday brand for the Hong Kong Jockey Club, there’s more than a hint of cynicism to how I view most things—and people. 

Having met some of the girls from Now United, I liked who I met- friendly, outgoing and fun, and, no doubt, talented. 

Very much of this United team spirit, other than Simon Fuller and the management team around him, is Nicky Andersen.

The choreographer for the group, here’s someone whose talents have seen him work with everyone from Taylor Swift, BTS, Shakira, Jennifer Lopez and- well, visit his website www. nickyanderson.com.

Now he’s in Hong Kong and working with Now United on most of their music videos.

Being part Danish and my attraction to most things and people Danish, Nicky is very integral to how Now United moves. 

From a personal point of view, and as a Hong Kong Belongers, I would love to see him work on a city wide conga line or flash mob throughout the city featuring Now United, of course, plus the city’s various sports teams, chefs, healthcare workers musicians, business leaders etc etc. 

Why not Seize The Moment and create something so big that it doesn’t fall through the cracks?

Here could be something that’s not another lights show, and instead, something sustainable and which gives Hong Kong a brand personality of being international, fun, entertaining and creative. 

It’s about time to bring about positive change- and let’s just remember that time waits for no one when it comes to the serious business of having fun and enjoying life!
