STUPID IS AS STUPID DOES

Boredom with things around me and weather changes makes one either get a little loopy, or maybe it’s just knowing intuitively that it’s time to break with tradition and have a new reality wash over you, but last night, I dined at home by myself and on the leftovers of something I had eaten for lunch- fabulous steamed garoupa with peppercorns and something else in the sauce that was spicy to give it some extra kick and flavour.
I was going to photograph the dish and post it somewhere online until thinking to myself that other than showing how this fabulous Chinese fish dish was presented, who’s going to know how it actually tastes despite all the usual foodie words?
It’s kinda the same thing though far more personal as watching Gordon Ramsay transforming one of those Hell’s Kitchens into something out of this world and the screamingly manic chef then taking over the kitchen and creating wonderful culinary dishes and diners saying how fabulous the new food tasted.
Of course, most of us have been watching this same schtick of someone like Chef Ramsay’s frenzied attacks on television purely for the now rather old school entertainment fare, because how are audiences to know if the new dishes prepared are all they’re cracked up to be?
It’s like my Steamed Garoupa with Peppercorns- who’s to know what it tastes like based on a photo?
I watch stills of a horse winning a race and the jockey standing up in the irons and pumping his fist in the air, and can admire the photograph, but unless actually there when this win took place, who cares? It’s not exactly going to change anything in my life.
I could go on and on and on about, for example, looking at a photo of Barron Trump and wondering if he speaks in a voice like Liberace, or staring at a picture of Melania Trump and thinking about Caitlyn Jenner, or watching a music video of the Village People on mute and thinking of the Lionel Blair Dancers or gawd knows what…

The list of Deep Stupid Thoughts like these are endless- but could be revealing.
They also occur when around things and people who bore me as I don’t see any synergy or energy to- returning to my new mantra- break with tradition.
Maybe my boredom today about so many things might possibly lead to the start of a new business that has something or another to do with breaking free from the obvious, where you are there, but those around you are here, and with you needing to stay there if anything is going to make sense and one stops spinning and tap dancing on the same foot and on that same old dime.
